Jenna Fischer is best known for playing Pam Beesly on the acclaimed television show The Office, for which she received an Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actress and two SAG Awards for Outstanding Performance from an Ensemble Comedy.
She was raised primarily in St. Louis Missouri. Jenna was impressed by her mother's church performances at the time she started her journey.
After finishing The Office, Fischer, an actress trained in theater, returned to her origins. The Off-Broadway show she starred in was the play Reasons to Be Happy that was directed and written by Neil LaBute and co-starring Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb, as well as Fred Weller. The Old Globe Theatre's premiere, She starred opposite Greg Germann as well as Josh Stamberg in Steve Martin's absurdist comedy Meteor Shower.
The Office co-star Angela Kinsey and Fischer created Office Ladies, a podcast on Earwolf on October 19, 2019. The podcast has been an enormous success, making in the Top Ten worldwide every week with more than 200 million downloads in its first two-years. Office Ladies was awarded the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Year award in January 2021.
She's also the co-author of Office BFF's Tales of The Office: From Two Best Friends The Office. This autobiography is about the relationship between them and how they worked for The Office.
